💰 GENERAL AID FUND

SZHM Trust has, for many years, been providing urgent relief to the needy, the underprivileged, and individuals facing crisis in our communities. Grants disbursed from this fund play a direct role in improving beneficiaries’ quality of life, ensuring social protection, and fostering self‑reliance. The Trust’s work is simultaneously humanitarian, welfare‑oriented, and rooted in an inclusive model of development that places society’s most vulnerable and marginalized at its center.

Below is an outline of the types of assistance available through the Trust’s fund:

1. Marriage Assistance
Financial support is provided to cover wedding expenses for unmarried young women from indigent and impoverished families. This assistance not only helps them secure a dignified social status but also relieves their families of significant economic burden.

2. Overseas Employment Assistance
Aspiring job‑seekers and labor migrants who lack the means to finance their travel abroad receive grants to cover necessary expenses. By enabling them to secure foreign employment, the Trust helps improve their family’s financial standing.

3. Medical Assistance
Patients suffering from complex, chronic, or high‑cost illnesses are eligible for funding to obtain specialized healthcare services. This includes treatment for cancer, kidney dialysis, heart disease, accident‑related surgeries, and other costly medical procedures.

4. Housing Construction or Renovation Assistance
Families living in extreme poverty, without a permanent home, or in dilapidated housing may receive support for constructing, rebuilding, or repairing their dwelling. Through this aid, beneficiaries gain access to safe, hygienic, and dignified living conditions.

5. Debt Relief Assistance
Individuals or families who have fallen into small, burdensome debts due to unforeseen disasters, illness, or other emergencies can receive partial relief toward legitimate, documented loans. This grant helps restore their social and economic stability and enables them to resume normal life.

6. Income‑Generating Activities Assistance
Financial grants, materials, or training are offered to capable yet impoverished persons to launch small businesses, agricultural projects, livestock farming, handicrafts, or other suitable enterprises. This support empowers beneficiaries to stand on their own feet and achieve sustainable livelihoods.
